ACC Environmental Consultant Company, has an opportunity for a detail oriented, well organized, dependable Geologist, for our Oregon / Washington location.
This mid level, full-time position requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and willingness to learn.
This position is a combination of field and office work with a heavy focus on field efforts, data evaluation and reporting.
This position requires some travel. Anticipated travel amount is up to 20%.
Successful Candidates Should Have :
- Preferred 4-6 years of relevant experience. Experience required.
- Familiar with environmental site investigations, groundwater monitoring, groundwater / soil sampling, assessment, characterization, and date quality review / date evaluation.
- Provides support, including data management and statistical analysis, preparation of technical documents, figures and investigations.
- Maintains, and provides periodic reports.
- Manages data requests with various stakeholders and evaluates and prepares responses to regulatory issues.
- Must be willing to travel within the state of Oregon, Washington, Idaho.
- Oral and written communications are very important for this position.
- Sound decision making and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail oriented and strong organization skills.
- Proven ability to perform in a high volume, time sensitive / deadline driven environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects at a given time.
- Ability to work and contribute to a team environment.
- OSHA 40-hour Hazmat training a plus.
- Proficient with several computer applications including MS Word and Excel.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in geology, environmental geology, engineering or related discipline.
- Advanced degree is a plus.
- LG or RG preferred or the ability to acquire GIT within two years of employment.
