The Role

Proofpoint is seeking a talented and data-driven Marketing Analytics Manager to lead our marketing analytics efforts and provide valuable insights to drive informed business decisions.

As the Marketing Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting marketing data to enhance overall marketing performance, optimize marketing strategies, and improve marketing impact to pipeline and revenue.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in marketing technologies, and the ability to transform data into actionable recommendations.

This position will require the ability to work independently on advanced analytical projects, including data preparation, formulating solutions, model development, validation, implementation, and presentation of findings to stakeholders.

  • Define, develop and oversee the implementation of advanced analytics models to measure and optimize marketing performance across multiple channels
  • Design and build visually engaging and informative dashboards to key stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product teams, to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with the company's vision and financial goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance on market segmentation, targeting, and positioning to enhance market penetration and customer acquisition.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data insights.
  • Translate complex data findings into strategic initiatives and present them to executive leadership for decision-making.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of SQL and data warehouse to consolidate data from various sources
  • Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive strategies to maintain a cutting-edge analytics practice.

What you bring to the team

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related business field.

Master’s / MBA degree preferred

  • 7 + years of hands-on experience in marketing analytics, with a proven track record of driving growth through data-driven strategies.
  • Familiarity with Saleforce CRM
  • Experience marketing automation platform such as Marekto
  • Digital Marketing tools such as Google Analytics is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Analytics Visualization, Business Intelligent Apps (e.g. Power BI and Tableau), SQL, Excel (Power Pivots, Macros, Modeling), and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals and platforms
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and innovation within the marketing analytics domain.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues / scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts and lead engagements with sales, marketing, and Finance.
  • Outstanding leadership skills to manage cross-functional projects, building and maintaining trust with stakeholders
  • High level project management skills
  • High-energy, a positive attitude, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are critical for success in this role
