Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Associate Director is responsible for maintaining and assisting in developing effective and efficient procedures and programs that support the day-to-day operation of the FRES Human Resources function.

The Associate Director will support the entire employee life cycle including Talent acquisition processes (sourcing, employer branding, recruitment, on boarding and orientation) and Talent Management processes (compensation, performance management, employee relations, staff development and discipline, retention, off-boarding), inclusive of a special focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and employee / customer engagement within HR programs, processes, and assist with internal communications.

Associate Director will ensure that HR operational performance goals are achieved and / or surpassed through monitoring, analysis and improvements of key performance indicators and reporting.

The Associate Director will identify operational issues with HR processes, find solutions, and cultivate the customers, knowledge and ability with utilizing HR services and processes.

Associate Director will independently provide guidance to the HR team, supervisors and employees in the functional areas of human resources and the employee life cycle process.

The Associate Director will assist with communications, implementation of organizational HR procedures and programs, and ensure compliance with university, local, state and federal labor laws.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s plus 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; 5+ years of related experience preferred.

Previous direct human resources experience and extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems; strong experience in recruitment, compensation and employee relations.

Experience with developing and presenting training on various topics.

Must have demonstrated high level customer service, excellent verbal and written skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and ethical mindset, attention to detail, intermediate Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with HR software (Workday a plus);

experience in dealing with confidential information and highly sensitive matters with tact, diplomacy and professionalism, adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Full understanding of state and federal employment laws required. SHRM, HRCI and other HR related certification (s) are a plus.

Must stay current on HR industry body of knowledge.

Pay Range

$51,824.00 - $95,000.00 Annual Rate

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
