We are currently looking for a full-time dishwasher. The dishwasher ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of all china, glassware, tableware, cookware, and utensils.

This includes the proper use of both machine and manual cleaning methods. Additionally, this role supports the kitchen team by maintaining clean workspaces, assisting with employee cafeteria duties, and performing other tasks as directed.

Requirements :

Essential Duties / Functions / Responsibilities of the Job :

• Sort, rinse, and load dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and utensils into dishwashing racks for cleaning.
• Sort, stack, and transport clean dishes to appropriate storage areas, ensuring any soiled dishes are rewashed before delivery.
• Monitor and change dishwater in the machine hourly or as directed
• Hand wash pots, pans, and trays.
• Remove trash and transport garbage to the dumpster.
• Set up and break down the dishwashing area.
• Clean and roll / unroll mats as needed.
• Fill and empty soaking tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep and mop floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Assemble and disassemble the dishwashing machine.
• Maintain cleanliness around the club's exterior, including the garbage dumpster area.
• Perform general club and restroom cleaning as directed.
• Ensure kitchen floors are dry and clean by wiping up spills promptly.
• Immediately notify the Manager if the dish machine wash or rinse cycle temperatures fall below safety standards.
• Follow proper hygiene practices, ensuring hands are washed before handling clean dishes after touching dirty ones.
• Adhere to safe and sanitary food handling practices at all times.
• Uphold Argyle's standards, rules, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or the chef.

Educational / Experience Requirements / Qualifications :

• Must be able to read labels on chemicals.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
• Food Handlers Certification

Physical Requirements :

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
• Frequent physical effort in transporting packages, cases, or objects of up to 50 lbs.
• Endure variable temperature conditions extreme heat or cold.
• Endure environments that include dust, smoke, or chemicals.
• Works indoors and outdoors.
• Works in a hot, damp environment.
• Hazards include, but are not limited to, burns, slips, trips, and cuts from knives, broken glass, and metal cans.
• Frequent washing of hands.
• Occasionally lift and empty trashcans weighing up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
