Position Overview
The IT Procurement Analyst plays a crucial role in our organization by managing procurement activities related to technology infrastructure and applications.
This position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient purchasing processes.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with core technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing Activities :
Follow standard operating procedures and sourcing strategies.Process purchase orders, route invoices, and place orders.Act as a liaison with Procurement, Legal, Accounts Payable, and vendors.
Track contracts, renewals, licenses, and budgets.Provide weekly status reports to management.
Contract Management :
Assist with the contract portfolio for the Tech Services department.Support solicitations for goods, services, and projects.
Prepare presentations, evaluation matrices, and write-ups.Evaluate new vendors, products, and services.Collaborate with management to address vendor performance issues.
Additional Duties :
Perform related tasks as directed by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four (4) years of experience in procurement.
- Two (2) years of experience supporting complex projects involving multiple stakeholders or departments.
- Two (2) years of work experience in an enterprise technology department.
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university OR High School Diploma with a minimum of four (4) years of experience performing duties outlined in the Minimum Qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of enterprise software and hardware licensing.
- Familiarity with technology platforms, infrastructure, and application development.
- Working knowledge of core technologies such as Oracle Fusion, ServiceNow, and Office365.
- Ability to work independently and accurately.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical reporting, and record reconciliation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in the public sector.
Additional Skills (Not Required)
- Knowledge of identifying grant opportunities.
- Basic understanding of emerging technologies (., AI / ML, IoT).
