  • SALARY RANGE : 95,000 - 135000

SUMMARY :

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient and timely execution while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety protocols.

Working under the guidance of the Senior Construction Manager, you will collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver successful projects that meet client expectations and company objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Implement safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any safety hazards or violations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met, materials are procured on time, and work is performed according to specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing issues or risks that may impact project scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents to ensure compliance with design requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, overseeing bid solicitation, negotiation, contract administration, and performance evaluation to ensure quality workmanship and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, change orders, and as-built drawings, to track project milestones, expenses, and changes.
  • Conduct regular site meetings with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to discuss project status, address issues, and coordinate work activities.
  • Assist in the resolution of construction-related disputes or conflicts, working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to find mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to construction supervisors, foremen, and field staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Senior Construction Manager in implementing project management best practices, quality assurance processes, and safety initiatives across construction projects.

Daily Duties :

  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to establish project goals, requirements, and timelines.
  • Manage on-site construction activities, monitoring progress, quality, and safety performance, and addressing any issues or concerns as they arise.
  • Review and interpret construction documents, including drawings, blueprints, and specifications, to ensure accurate implementation of design intent.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards, and identify any deviations or deficiencies.
  • Supervise and provide direction to on-site personnel, including construction foremen, laborers, and subcontractors, to ensure work is performed according to schedule and quality standards.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, tracking costs related to labor, materials, equipment, and other resources, and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and updates to project stakeholders through regular meetings, reports, and correspondence.
  • Address any conflicts, disputes, or change requests that may arise during construction, working to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety regulations, and implement appropriate corrective actions to mitigate risks.

WEEKLY DUTIES :

  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with project team members and subcontractors to review project status, discuss upcoming tasks, and address any challenges or issues.
  • Review and update project schedules, identifying critical path activities and milestones, and adjust plans as necessary to ensure project timeline adherence.
  • Coordinate with procurement team to track material deliveries and inventory levels, and anticipate any potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Perform quality inspections of completed work, identifying any deficiencies or deviations from project specifications, and develop action plans for resolution.
  • Prepare weekly reports summarizing project progress, highlighting accomplishments, challenges, and action items for the upcoming week.
  • Monitor and analyze project costs and expenses, comparing actual spending to budgeted amounts, and identify any variances or cost-saving opportunities.

MONLTHY DUTIES :

  • Compile monthly progress reports for project stakeholders, providing detailed analysis of project performance, including budget, schedule, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for project team members and subcontractors, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participate in monthly project review meetings with senior management to evaluate overall project performance and identify strategies for optimization.
  • Review and update construction procedures, protocols, and best practices based on lessons learned and industry trends.
  • Coordinate with project management team to develop and implement training programs for project team members, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and adherence to contract requirements, addressing any performance issues or concerns through appropriate channels.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS :

  • Project Schedule Adherence : Ensure construction activities are completed according to the project schedule, meeting or exceeding milestone deadlines.
  • Budget Management : Manage project budgets effectively, monitoring expenses and resource allocations to optimize project costs and profitability.
  • Safety Performance : Maintain a safe work environment with zero lost-time incidents and high levels of safety awareness and compliance among project personnel.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations for quality workmanship and deliverables.
  • Client Satisfaction : Exceed client expectations by delivering high-quality projects that meet project requirements and specifications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

As a Construction Manager, you may be responsible for supervising construction supervisors, foremen, and field staff assigned to construction projects.

You will provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure project objectives are met and company standards are upheld.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management or related field
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, regulations, and legal requirements
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT :

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may occasionally be loud
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (Safety Boots, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, High Visibility Vest)
  • Travel required
