Job Title : Sales Director, Cell & Gene Therapy
About the opportunity : This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing sales strategies to generate and maximize revenue and market share for the Cell & Gene Therapy business of PHCNA, by leading strategic efforts and managing a team through new product launches and sales growth activities.
Lead projects for new programs such as implementing new product lines / portfolios. Partner with BioSales Team to create Synergy.
Location : This is a remote field sales position, and can be located anywhere in the United States.
What you will be doing :
- Responsible for driving annual sales budget and managing channels of distribution in the Americas and Canada regions.
- Manage and maintain excellent relationships with our customer and channel partners.
- Gather direct market information, share this information with the Product and Marketing Group, which will in turn work these insights into future product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives, including marketing, sales, and product development.
- Keep constant watch over long-term developments which may lead to new products, new business models, or new segments where the company may benefit.
- Report critical developments to the President of PHCNA and Vice President of CGT business development for review and strategic collaboration with leadership.
- Communicate with our channels to maximize sales and minimize conflicts.
- Work as one of the faces of the organization with key customers, developing and cultivating high level relations with key channel partners and strategic accounts.
- Update strategic accounts and clinical distribution at all internal sales meetings and business reviews.
- Provide timely reports; i.e. weekly forecasting, PSI and monthly forecasting. Manage monthly objective and other reports as required.
- Connect business with key stakeholders to establish pipelines with academic institutions or multi-national pharmaceutical companies.
- Keep constant watch over market developments related to immediate sales, and when needed inform the sales team.
- Conduct corporate overview and product training for customer and channel partners.
- Negotiate and close business deals.
- Review and approve reports and expenses from direct reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you need for success :
- BA or BS degree is required. MBA a plus.
- 10+ years’ senior level sales management experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Cell & Gene Therapy.
- Knowledge and understanding of complexity of various sales channels.
- Demonstrated track record of selling solutions to customers.
- Proficient with Microsoft office and experience with industry standard software such as Salesforce or other CRM software.
- This position requires frequent overnight travel ranging from 30 50%.
- In addition to visiting customer laboratory and office locations, this position will entail frequent joint field travel with Area and / or Territory Managers, executive management and PHC associates from corporate headquarters and Japan.
- At times global travel may be required. Valid passport is required.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
