About the Job
The University of Minnesota Medical School’s Department of Radiology seeks one fulltime ABR board certified / eligible radiologist with a primary interest in pediatric radiology.
Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity in one or more specialty areas in radiology.
Minimum requirements are an MD or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certified or board eligible, completion of ACGME accredited radiology residency training.
Completion of a pediatric radiology fellowship is highly preferred.
The position will spend significant time on a busy pediatric imaging service which serves both inpatients and outpatients.
Our pediatric radiology faculty interpret all imaging modalities and perform fluoroscopic procedures. Faculty are encouraged to develop an area of special interest such as fetal MRI, cardiac imaging, MSK and oncology imaging.
IR and neuroradiology are covered by separate divisions in our department but an interest in these areas is always welcome.
We currently have five full-time faculty in the pediatric radiology division with an equal call coverage distribution. We cover fluoroscopy at our main hospital site and diagnostic studies remotely after hours.
In addition to their clinical practice, all faculty participate in post-graduate and medical school instruction and teaching in a hospital setting.
Both academic and clinical promotion tracks are available. All faculty will be active in their specialty organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents and faculty.
