PRODUCE ASSISTANT
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an individual to work in the produce department as a produce assistant . You will be behind the scenes and will have no customer interaction.
Pay Rate
$14.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Saturday
1 st Shift 8 : 00AM Completion (usually 5 : 00PM)
Produce Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate equipment and wear proper personal protective equipment (e.g., pallet jack, flatbed, forklift, box cutter, carts, pricing gun, mop, broom, utensils, compactor, coring machine, wrapper, knives, safety glasses and cut resistant gloves) according to company guidelines.
- Gain / maintain knowledge of products, product location and receiving procedures
- Sort stock and load onto cart / pallet jack and move to proper area for stocking.
- Clean / sanitize utensils used.
- Cut, wrap, and prepare fruit and vegetables; follow crisping program
- Maintain ability to work various shifts.
- Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, frequently lifting / carrying objects 10 to 85 lbs , reaching, standing, kneeling, turning, walking, stooping / bending, exposure to cold temperatures (35 to 40 degrees);
occasionally crawl, climb ladders and walk on uneven ground.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Produce Assistant Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be 18 years if age or older
- Must be able to work in 35-40 degrees for long periods of time.
- Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
