Salary : $78,595 - $88,224

Position Summary :

This position is responsible for the effective and delivery of advanced training and development programs for all employees.

Partners with the L&D Instructional Designer on designing training programs. Partners with management and the HR Analyst to ensure tracking and measurement of all training is complete.

Responsible for training preparation including, logistics, materials, and scheduling. Responsible for leading various training programs across all channels.

Performs duties in alignment with the 2019-2024 COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organizations vision to : Move Every Life Forward.

This Position is Responsible For :

  • Conducts advanced level training courses, both on-site and virtual, for the whole organization;
  • Coordinates and delivers all embedded base training as needed;
  • Manages and prioritizes multiple courses
  • Facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods (classroom, virtual training, conference calls, labs and peer- to-peer coaching);
  • Responsible for training internal processes based on knowledge, skills and expertise and provides the opportunity to share information, ideas, and concerns;
  • maintains contact with all departments to discuss current business objectives and support needed for delivering related training programs;
  • Designs and develops professional, management and / or non-technical skills training programs and curriculums, both on-site and virtual, for employees.

Works with applicable business unit / area to establish content, prerequisite skills and knowledge for trainees. Ensures that training courses address all levels of employee.

  • Training deliverables may include, however, not limited to COTA Plus, Leadership Academy courses, and any additional cross-functional employee development courses;
  • Partners with the Instructional Designer in utilizing the ADDIE or SAM design methodology to develop training programs;
  • Works with training management and business units to conduct needs assessments to ensure training needs are met;
  • Gathers, reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions. Recommends and implements approved revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness;
  • Reviews training material and provides feedback to curriculum owners as needed;
  • Plays a key role in the planning, development, and design of new curricula;
  • Assists in tracking and measuring training programs and tie back to the strategic goals of the organization;
  • Utilizes the Learning Management System to track and measure training deliverables for the organization;
  • 75 % of this position will be spent delivering instructor led training; and
  • 25% of this position will be spent managing training projects.
  • May be required to be available through a mobile device via voice and / or data during and outside of normal working hours, at the manager's discretion, and must respond within a reasonable timeframe;
  • Regular, predictable and punctual attendance required; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

At Minimum You'll Need :

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, and six (6) years of supervisory, coaching, mentoring, and / or transportation experience;

or an equivalent combination of education and experience in business or public administration will also be considered. An Associate's Degree preferred.

  • Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Airbrake & Passenger endorsements; and
  • Must have the ability to obtain TSI certification, if applicable.
  • Technical Trainer (CTT+) certification preferred.
  • DDI Certification preferred.
