We are seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, as well as extensive knowledge of the automotive industry.
As the Automotive Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our automotive dealership (multiple dealerships), ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
What you will be doing :
- Oversee all financial operations of the automotive dealership, multiple locations
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, forecasting, and profit and loss statements
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end financial close processes
- Manage and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures related to financial management
- Communicate with upper management and provide recommendations for improving financial performance
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard dealership assets
- Work with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and terms
- Provide support and coordination for annual audits and tax preparation
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations and laws related to automotive financial management
What you will need :
- Previous experience as an Automotive Controller
- Experience overseeing multiple locations
- Strong Knowledge of Automotive Industry
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting-
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds software is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check
