Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting for employee compensation and benefits such as stock-based compensation, deferred compensation, vacation policy and bonus payouts.
- Draft and maintain support for the Company’s SEC filings such as the 11-K benefits plan and annual Proxy.
- Assist with preparation and review of our public filings, both the quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q and 10-K.
- Support the financial close process and participate in monthly financial trend meetings.
- Prepare internal financial statements.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures and issues.
- Ensure 404 compliance over the payroll accounting process, including internal and external reviews.
- Collaborate with accounting, payroll and human resource functions on daily tasks.
- Analyze accounting information and provide accurate and timely analysis to senior management.
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Support management with special projects and look to continuously improve the accounting and reporting workflow process.
Job Qualifications
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field
- CPA preferred
Experience :
- 2+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 / Regional Firm)
- SEC reporting experience
- Detail-oriented with organizational skills
- Strong project management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize duties
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with accounting and general ledger systems (Workday or SAP preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to thoroughly research and document new and existing accounting guidance
