CNC Maintenance Technician

Diagnosesand analyzes computer numerical control (CNC) equipment, other mechanical manufacturing / testingequipment, facility support equipment for malfunctions and potential failuresin their respective systems and takes corrective measures.

Completes submitted work orders in a timelymanner, adhering to all safety and standard operating procedures.

• Performsbasic electrical and mechanical repairs on conventional, CNC and facility equipment.
• Performsbasic pneumatic / hydraulic repair, electrical component replacements, andelementary wiring
• Analyzemachine service manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics to diagnoseproblems and put machines back on-line to meet customer needs.

May contact the technical support departmentof the machine manufacturer, if needed

• Ability to use precision gages and measuring tools such as dial indicators, calipers, micrometers.
• Fundamental understanding of machining and assembly processes, PLC’s and automated equipment.
• Ability and willingness to perform all the essential functions of the general maintenance support technician.
• Participates as needed in continuous improvement events to increase process efficiency.
• Accountable and responsible for all safety and environmental compliance as it relates to the position. Demonstrates knowledge of general safety, security, and environmental regulations.
• Adheres to 5S objectives. Understand Facility support systems and their impact on business.
• Communicate withother departments, understanding changes in priorities and the ability toprovide timely updates on production impacts.
• High school graduate or equivalent. Vocational trainingor technical trade school is preferred, or a combination of additionaleducation / experience totaling five (5) years, of which two (2) years oftechnical trade school training.
• Five (5) or more years preferred as a CNC RepairTechnician.
• Strong electromechanical abilities. Ability to calculate figures and dimensions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to interpret an extensive variety oftechnical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with severalabstract and concrete variables.
