The Kelly Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for its Decatur, Illinois , office. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of clerical and / or accounting experience.
This position requires the ability to perform these essential duties :
- Issue purchase orders and purchase materials as requested by company-approved buyers
- Transfer coding information from purchase orders to vendor invoices and process accounts payable vendor checks as required
- Perform data entry and answer incoming phone calls
- Perform necessary paperwork to set up new vendors, and research and resolve discrepancies, missing information and vendor inquiries
- Knowledge of the accounts payable cycle and the impact on the general ledger
Other preferred qualifications sought include :
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Ability to transcribe recorded meeting notes
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
