RN Labor and Delivery

Amergis Healthcare has an opportunity for a Labor and Delivery RN to provide care at a facility in Brockton, MA.Qualifications : Active, unrestricted MA nursing license1 year experience in L and DSchedule : 7a-7 : 30p OR 11a-11 : 30p, every other weekendJob Duties : Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient careAssess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s conditionCollects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from healthcare members and documents actual and / or potential nursing diagnosesPlans for expected outcomes of care for those patients assignedPerforms interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standardProvides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environmentUses clinical judgment in the evaluation of activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit / floor including establishing prioritiesMonitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipmentPromotes interpersonal relations with patients / family / significant others, hospital healthcare coworkers, and physiciansUses effective communication skills with all contacts while being objective and sensitiveCommunicates pertinent information about patient, nursing unit, and activities as appropriateMonitors vital signs for the mother and babyAdministers medication as orderedMonitors contractions and fetal heart rateIdentifies complications during labor and deliveryCommunicates the mother’s condition and needs to the physicianCoaches the mother during labor and delivery and provides emotional supportCaring for the mother after she gives birthPerforms other duties as assigned / necessaryAmergis proudly offers Weekly Pay, BCBS health benefits with Medical, Vision, and Dental options, Paid Time Off Programs, Perkspot Employee Discount Program, 401K Savings Plan, Employee Assistance and Work / Life Program including Counseling ServicesIf you are interested in hearing more about this position please apply online and one of our National Recruitment Managers will reach out to you.
