A well-known and respected general contracting company are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Asheville!
Due to a strong pipeline of projects, they're looking for an APM to join their team in working closely with the project manager to deliver projects across the Healthcare, K-12 and Higher Education sectors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day project operations from planning to completion
- Assist in coordinating all phases of construction, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and project success
- Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met
- Aid in the preparation of project documents, such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reports
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and safety protocols
- Resolve issues or conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle
Qualifications :
- Experience : 2+ years in an assistant project management role, ideally with a background in healthcare, K-12, or higher education construction projects
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
- Skills : Strong understanding of construction project management processes, excellent communication, and organizational skills
- Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar) and construction documentation
- Certifications : OSHA 30 certification (preferred), PMP or LEED credentials (a plus)
