Remote Network Consultant

LaSalle Network has partnered with our client in their search for a Remote Network Consultant . As a subject matter expert in Fortinet networking, the key responsibilities of this role include providing technical thought leadership, identifying operational risks and improvements and developing network designs based on client requirements.

This role also involves mentoring global team members, leading ITSM functions and ensuring general service health for all network services.

Remote Network Consultant Responsibilities :

• Provide strategic technical guidance and governance
• Collaborate with leadership, client account teams and clients to identify and address operational risks and opportunities for improvement
• Work with solution architects to design and review client solutions
• Drive process enhancements and efficiency through automation
• Collaborate on ITSM functions with global team
• Define and oversee incident and request management processes
• Review and standardize change management processes
• Maintain CMDB inventory accuracy
• Implement operational best practices, including SRE practices
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements

Remote Network Consultant Requirements :

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to interact with technical vendors
• Proactive and self-motivated with strong ownership
• Expert knowledge in network architecture in datacenter and cloud environments
• Proficiency with Fortinet suite of products, including NGFW and SD-WAN
• Extensive knowledge of network diagnostics, protocols and disciplines
• Expertise in network automation using CI / CD toolsets
• Familiarity with common infrastructure technologies and cloud platforms
• 10+ years of experience in a complex environment with web applications
• Experience in client-facing and service delivery roles
• ITIL certification and industry-standard technical certifications a plus
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred
