Outbound Sales Representative (OBSR) is responsible for the acquisition of new logo customers in the small and medium business segments.
The OBSR accomplishes this through
strategic, campaign driven outbound contact to on-net and near-net fiber prospects.
Responsibilities
- Drives small and medium business customer acquisition through outbound contact and various lead sources in a fast-paced environment.
- Executes the Strategic Build Process and other capital strategies to identify near-net opportunities that require network builds;
communicates required pricing thresholds and implementation process associated with network construction
Maintain a professional, consultative sales process to ensure the best fit of products and services for small and medium business prospects;
maximizing revenue and profitability for the company, and competitive advantages compared to other service providers, while maintaining the highest ethical standards
- Consistently achieve a monthly sales quota with various targeted metrics
- Meet established activity targets and key performance indicators, including outbound calls per day, follow up calls, quotes sent, sales, and connects, etc.
- Effectively balance new lead generation versus follow up efforts. Create a strong follow-up plan that will allow for greater efficiency and increased sales conversion rates.
- Handle all prospects with courtesy and professionalism; Establish and maintain a high level of prospect satisfaction in all interactions.
- Ability to work as part of a sales team, collaborate and share successes and challenges and continually foster a positive environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are a must as they will be a staple of the sales process as well as within the team dynamic environment.
- Engages Sales Engineering resource to properly solution customers
- Leverages, outbound calls, inbound calls, video meetings, e-mail, chat and other medium to acquire sales
- Engages in deep discovery with all prospects to determine the appropriate disposition of the opportunity and proactively transfers leads to other sales groups when deemed out-of-scope
- Leverages all sales technology tools : Sales Engagement Platform, Network Mapping Application, CRM, Sales Engagement Platform, etc.
to maximize sales efficiency and outcomes
- Order Data Entry - Inputs orders in multiple OES-s, tracks each customer through to install and maintains customer database in CRM and other systems
- Subject matter expert the industry, customers and competitors and market developments as well as all CCI promotions, pricing, simple and complex products, systems, marketing tactics and value proposition related to small and medium business segments.
- Ability to work independently and remotely. Reports for work remotely from their primary residence and engages in on camera video meetings, both internally and externally, in a distraction free environment in business casual attire.
- Must be able to multi-task, being on the phone and working with various systems including qualification, pricing, POS, internal and external chat, etc. as needed.
- Performs all other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years inside / outside sales experience; preferably in telecommunications industry
- Undergraduate College Degree preferred
- Technical Training or Knowledge :
- A working knowledge of sales tools and techniques
- Salesforce experience a plus
- A thorough understanding of billing and order entry systems in the telecommunications industry or similar work-related history in like type products
- Working knowledge in use of Word, Excel and Outlook required
- Ability to conduct a needs analysis (consultative approach), overcome objections, develop a strong sales pitch and effectively close sales.
- Ability to manage multiple prospects, pay close attention to detail, respond quickly to changing business needs and prioritize and organize effectively even when volume and workload exceed expectations.
- Must be able to demonstrate clear, excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally with the leadership team as well as externally with customers.
- Must have adequate internet bandwidth and reliability to perform the necessary job duties in all systems needed.

Salary
Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience) : $40,000 - $50,000 Plus Commission
