Substitute Food Service Worker – Iberville

We are hiring substitute food service workers for Iberville Parish Schools. No previous experience is required!

Nutrition and Food Service workers are essential to local schools and student learning. Start a phenomenal job that allows you to give kids a balanced start to their day!

Minimum Requirements :

High School Diploma / GED

Responsibilities and Job Description(s) : Under the direction and supervision of the district’s full-time professional staff, you will assist in providing help with food preparation and distribution to students, along with other related kitchen duties as the need arises. This Includes things like :

• Assisting with prep work and cooking of nutritionally balanced meals, by accurately weighing and measuring ingredients and portions.
• Carrying pots, pans, utensils, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator, in accordance with school district safety standards.
• Following all of the accurate food safety and storage rules.
• Operating all of the mechanical kitchen equipment accurately and safely.
• Cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils, while following all established sanitation procedures.
• Serving students in a friendly, efficient manner.
