ROLE OVERVIEW

Pivot Energy is seeking an experienced, motivated, and self-directed Accounting Associate to join our fast-growing Accounting team, headquartered in Denver.

This position supports both the company headquarters and regional offices. This part-time, hourly position will be primarily responsible for managing corporate compliance as it relates to legal entity creation, maintenance, and documentation, with the potential of conversion to a full-time position in 2025.

The part-time Accounting Associate will lead corporate legal entity compliance reporting and documentation along with additional accounts payable duties as assigned.

Candidates successful in this role will have utilized software to manage multiple entities, optimizing its use to support timelines, deadlines, reminders, and more.

This is a role that supports both the company headquarters and regional offices, with projects in development throughout the country.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead in the compliance of the company’s entities (500+) including articles of organization, operating agreements, W9, and tax ID numbers
  • Coordinate with the company’s registered agent to keep entities up-to-date
  • Research and implement a software system to manage the company’s entities
  • Research and process any tax notices such as sales and use tax, property tax, and income tax
  • Assist Accounts Payable with payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Assist the Accounting team with special projects as needed

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • 2+ years professional experience in administration or accounting
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Sage Intacct or equivalent accounting software
  • Self-starter with strong self-motivation and a proven capacity to work in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Must be detail-oriented with hands-on execution capability

$37 - $42 an hour COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The hourly range for this position is $37-$42 per hour depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company’s 2025 bonus plan.

The Target Bonus amount is 30% of the employee’s earned base compensation as of the end of the applicable Plan year and is based on the achievement of various company-wide metrics.
