Job Summary
The Mechanic will complete minor repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and conduct periodic inspections, under the direction of the maintenance lead, in accordance with the maintenance plan / schedule, on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Essential Job Accountabilities :
- Basic hand tools
- General mechanical knowledge including, hydraulics and electrical
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order execution
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Basic welding skills
- Work a flexible shift and overtime when required.
Education :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade education in industrial mechanics (preferred)
Additional Requirements / Skills :
- Compliance with safety policies and regulations.
- Correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Communicate well and work in clean orderly manner
- Class C driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Heavy truck maintenance experience preferred.
