Ductile Piping Estimator
Responsibilities and Duties
Our Estimators play a vital role in helping build and maintain relationships with our customers and engineers. This is the first step in the bidding process that allows us to BUILD AMERICA TOGETHER!!! Through the review of engineering plans and specifications you will be tasked to develop full package ductile iron estimates for water and wastewater products throughout the United States utilized in treatment plants and pump stations.
The Estimator must work closely with engineers, owners, contractors, and our sales team in order to gather the resources to complete the project.
Additional Responsibilities and duties include :
- Participation in meetings to learn about new product development and changes to existing product lines.
- Communicate with customers to resolve specification / drawing discrepancies in order to provide accurate scopes.
- Analyze project specifications and plans.
- Request costs with partner suppliers to ensure pricing data is secured for each project.
- Completes work through the use of a quotation system and estimating software.
- Distribute completed estimates to customers and sales.

Qualifications and Skills
- An Associate's Degree or higher in a related field is preferred, however individuals without a degree but possess 2 years of applicable estimating experience will be considered.
- Construction experience in water and wastewater is a plus!
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook.
- Previous experience using take-off tools preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial sales or customer service is a plus!
- Previous experience analyzing digital blueprints is a plus!
