Kindred Bravely is looking for an organized, detail-oriented trendspotter to join our team as a full-time Photography Assistant .

Opportunity (the job) : The perfect candidate can work independently, has a passion for learning about photography, videography, and fashion, is excited to keep up to date with the latest styling and social trends, and is detail-oriented and organized.

As a Full-time Photography Assistant , you will work closely with the Creative and Photography Managers to prepare for photoshoots, help on-set on shoot days, and help keep the department organized, from photo samples to digital assets.

This position will be responsible for working closely with the social team to capture content at shoots to create social video for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

• Has an interest in photography and / or videography, and is excited for the opportunity to get hands on experience in this area.
• Is an avid user of social media, including Instagram and TikTok, and enjoys following trends and creating content.
• Is flexible and adaptive to the changing needs of the business. You aren’t thrown off by a model canceling last minute or solving a new puzzle to support the team.

Requirements :

• Experience working with photography, videography, and / or social content creation preferred
• Knack for styling the latest fashion trends
• Proficient with common computer software and digital tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Canva, & other video / photo editing software
• Ability to perform heaving lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stand for several hours at a time
• Reliable transportation to and from warehouse and photo locations
• Associate's or technical degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to) :

• Manage the flow of product through the photoshoot workflow by maintaining an organizational system for incoming photo samples, adding incoming product to the photo shoot schedule, and organizing props and samples post-photoshoot
• Work closely with the photoshoot team to prepare for photoshoots, video shoots, and flatlay shoot, including pulling product, steaming, prepping the set, pulling props, and printing moodboards and shot list.
• Assist with content creation including filming vertical video during photoshoots, taking behind the scenes video and photos, and assisting with shooting flat lay images.
• Assist on-set at photo and video shoots by helping with props, wardrobe, attending to babies and nursing mothers, assisting models, and taking care of other miscellaneous tasks on set as needed and requested.
• Manage asset organization and renaming of assets in the data asset library.
• Perform light photo and video editing for social requests.
• In partnership with the Photography Manager, communicate with the offshore editing team to ensure deadlines are met and assets are delivered up to standard.
• Ensure the studio is kept clean and organized.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Experience : Experience working with photography, videography, and / or social content creation preferred. Interest in photo studio production is helpful.

Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours per week

Education : Associate's or technical degree in a related field preferred but not required.

Location : Hybrid. The office and studio are based in Oceanside, CA. You are required to be on set or location 1-3 times per week, depending on the shoot schedule.

Must have reliable transportation for shoots around San Diego County.
