Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer E.I.T. in Austin, Texas to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will bring civil engineering experience with a focus in transportation in the consulting industry and / or experience working with, or for, public sector clients.

The successful candidate should have MicroStation (or AutoCAD) experience and understand basic roadway design (roadway design manual, AASHTO).

Experience with Open Roads software is a bonus. We will provide oversight and mentorship to further advance the candidates career development.

The candidate should demonstrate ownership and eagerness to learn and develop.

Civil Engineer E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) - Transportation Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation project delivery
• DOT experience (as a DOT employee or consultant) is a must, TxDOT preferred
• EIT in the State of TX, or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Ability to manage a project, and supervise technical staff
• Proven business development experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
