Staff Accountant

We are partnered with a growing hospitality organization in Miami, FL. This is an outstanding business that is growing at a strong rate.

They are looking to add to their growing team by hiring a Staff Accountant . It is an excellent opportunity for junior-level candidates to grow organically with a business and be exposed to many different functions as they develop.

Salary / Hourly Rate :

$70k

Position Overview :

The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities.

There is also an opportunity to be exposed to some finance planning and analysis when working so closely with the company’s Manager.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant :

• The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end closing and year-end closing as needed.
• Financial statement preparation as the Staff Accountant.
• Review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries.
• Assist with billing, invoicing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Staff Accountant will perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements.
• Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant :

• 3 years of experience in accounting.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• The Staff Accountant must possess extremely strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with large data sets efficiently.

Education Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
