Salary : $68,000-$72,000
Job Description :
Working in close coordination with the President & CEO, this position supports comprehensive fund development based on the organization’s strategic goals.
A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to translate ideas into action through planning, organizing, and implementing fundraising activities.
They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the skills to participate in high-level individual and institutional donor relationship management.
The Development Director will be responsible for fostering a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization, ensuring that fundraising is appreciated and recognized as essential to fulfilling the mission.

Key Responsibilities :
- Manage internal and outsourced aspects of grant writing, management, and reporting
- Develop and execute donor recruitment and retention strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders
- Plan and manage fundraising events
- Lead the organization’s communications strategy
- Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities
Minimum Qualifications :
- 5+ yrs of proven experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, & grant management
- Proven ability to secure major gifts of $25,000 or more
- Federal grant application and management experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with donor relations and event management
- Understanding of foodbanking, food systems, and social services
Working Conditions :
- Hours may vary (typical work week 40 hours)
- Open concept workspace, with private working stations available
- Work with equipment such as phones, computers, copiers, and other office equipment
