Summer Health is seeking an exceptional VP of Engineering to lead our engineering team and drive technological innovation in pediatric healthcare.

As our VP of Engineering, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our engineering strategy, building a world-class team, and developing cutting-edge solutions that improve children's health outcomes.

Responsibilities :

Provide technical leadership and vision for Summer Health's engineering organization

Collaborate with the executive team to align technology strategy with business goals

Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Develop and implement scalable, secure, and reliable systems to support our growing platform

Drive architectural decisions and technology choices that enable rapid product development

Establish best practices for software development, testing, and deployment

Oversee the recruitment and retention of top engineering talent

Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in healthcare and software development

Qualifications :

10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles

Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams in fast-growing startups

Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern software development practices

Experience with healthcare technology, telemedicine, or related fields

Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Strong people management skills with a focus on career development and mentorship

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred

Competitive base salary. Compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors like experience and expertise.

Equity compensation. All of our offers include meaningful stock options.

Compensation Range : $230K - $260K
