Senior Merchandiser, Lee Female NAM

Job Summary
This position assists the Merchandising Manager to manage the development and execution of all product strategies for Lee Female North America for the assigned product line.
Key responsibilities included briefing, assorting, and managing a consumer and market focused regional product offer in line with the overall brand strategy to meet or exceed overall corporate financial requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Strategy
- Set the regional long term merchandising plan
- Responsible for SKU targets / productivity targets in region
2. Product Direction
- Brief the product needs and costing targets to ensure the regional business plans are met
- Identify carry-overs and brief updates to the Global Category Team
- Analyse product performance to evaluate strengths and weaknesses to aid future line development and utilize past season sales, product performance data, current marketplace information and trends to define product strategies.
- Hold regular meetings with Account Managers / Accounts to ensure full awareness of market needs in terms of line structure, product requirements, pricing architecture, distribution, competitive activity and important operational issues
3. Product Creation
- Assort the regional line from the global range in line with global merchandising strategy and regional plans
- Own Regional Merch Forecasting process at each step of GTM
- Own regional pricing in local currencies to ensure the margin targets (profitability)
- Drive the regional Product / Marketing calendar - brief the regional marketing support needs to Regional Marketing Team and oversee all creation & execution of seasonal asset needs
- Own regional SMS budget and sample order for region
- Oversee product set-up & give direction to Merchandising Specialist on all executional responsibilities
- Initiate the chase process - strategic response to incremental product / business opportunities - brief chase product needs to Global Category team
4. Product Launch
- Facilitate regional sales meetings and account meetings
- Drive product penetration in the market, partner with Consumer & Category Insights team on market research
- Drive the successful assortment for wholesale accounts and retail channels
- Own the mark down decisions & product lifecycle management
- Drive communication with Supply Planning on assortment direction, style drops, new season recommended buy quantities, & production execution
- Inventory Ownership
Experience
- Product Merchandising or Buying
- Specialty, Mass & Mid-Tier channel knowledge
Education and / or Certification Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required, Masters Degree preferred.
