Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join their team in the Wiltshire area. As the Environmental Manager, you will oversee and manage the Environmental team and Advisors to ensure consistent site inspections and reports meet the standard of national environmental compliance and required environmental outcomes are acheived.
The client is offering an extremely competitive salary and package for theright person and can offer subsistence allowance also for those who would like to work on the scheme but dont neccesarrily live nearby.
The Role
You will be responsible for the following :
- Reviewing all weekly & monthly reports and ensuring they are validated and submitted meeting the reporting requirements.
- Managing Environmental Advisors and sub contractors making sure they implement environmental and sustainability standards.
- Oversee the preparing and implementation of environmental plans
- Satisfying environmental requirements to facilitate delivery of design solutions that satisfy performace requirements
- Managing stakeholder relationships and dealing with stakeholder queries to achieve desitred outcomes.
- Responsibility for mitigating environmental and sustainability risks for the project
- Work closely with the Project Manager and the greater team to help maintain environmental and sustainability standards (ISO90001)
The Candidate
- You will hold a relevant construction, civil engineering or environmental degree or related qualification
- Able to display previous experience of managing environmental aspects of large-scale infrastructure schemes
- A strong and up to date understanding of current UK environmental legislation.
- Ideally a relevant chartered membership of the relevant proffesional body
