About the Role :
Everest is seeking a Senior Cloud Network and Security Engineer with exceptional networking skills to join the Everest Information Technology Infrastructure department, located at the US headquarters in Warren, New Jersey.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable Azure network solutions to meet the needs of our growing organization.
Candidates must have Microsoft Azure experience and a strong understanding of cloud concepts. They should possess high technical aptitude, analytical skills, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure Azure networking solutions, ensuring compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and operations teams to develop and implement network architecture and security standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new Azure networking technologies and solutions to improve performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Azure networking configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct periodic security assessments and audits of Azure networking configurations to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Continuously assess and improve Azure networking designs and configurations to optimize performance, cost, and security.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance overall cloud infrastructure and services.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in Azure networking and cloud computing.
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure Defender for Cloud policies and configurations to ensure the security and compliance of cloud resources.
- Monitor and analyze security recommendations from Azure Defender for Cloud, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential security risks.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement security policies and controls based on industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain Azure Policy definitions and initiatives to enforce compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of Azure environments to identify security vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues.
- Work with development and operations teams to remediate security issues and implement security best practices in cloud environments.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams on Azure security best practices and technologies.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, managing Azure networking solutions, and cloud security and compliance.
- Industry networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and cloud network principles.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Network Security Groups (NSGs), Application Gateway, Azure load balancers, Azure ExpressRoute, and User Defined Routes (UDRs).
- Experience with Zero Trust Architectures
- Excellent knowledge of Azure Defender for Cloud and Azure Policy.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
