Regional Vice President, North - Business Development

The Regional VP of Business Development acts as a liaison between the Agency and the community regarding community and customer needs.

Responsible for development and promotion of home health and hospice programs and services while maintaining the standards of practice consistent with quality health care and maximizing human, financial, and equipment resources.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • At least 5 years of marketing or administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience in the healthcare marketing industry.
  • Knowledge of Home Health and Hospice care services and managed care plans.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay, and professional public, Advisory Board and Medical Directors.
  • Excellent speaking and writing ability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Provides counsel to the Agency regarding needs of the community; program development including personnel needs and financial needs.
  • Plans and conducts community awareness activities which inform physicians, healthcare workers, and patients (current and prospective) of agency programs and capabilities.
  • Conducts non-remunerative efforts to obtain new referrals from physicians and hospital discharge planners.
  • Design Agency information and marketing literature and tools for use in marketing program.
  • Attends community business functions to gain exposure for the Agency.
  • Manage Business Development and Clinical Liaison staff.
  • Sets and meets job related goals.
  • Collaboratively develops and maintains policies specific to new programs.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, al local, state, and federal laws relating to the operation of the Agency.
  • Assists in direction of programs through collaboration with and delegation of responsibility to administration and supervisory personnel.
  • Assists in obtaining and maintaining third party contracts and acts as a liaison through collaborations with managers and payor sources.
  • Establishes a public relations program for interpretation of the Agency’s services and to foster good working relations with physicians, third party payors and community agencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
