Who will you be working with?
Our Indirect Sourcing team combines sourcing knowledge and experience to bring value to the organization. We are responsible for developing Indirect Category strategies and negotiating contracts with our suppliers to implement these category strategies to ensure we meet the needs of our internal stakeholders.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Indirect Sourcing Team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the category manager’s programs as well as negotiate contracts with suppliers.
The sourcing specialist is the tactical point of contact for their functional areas and supports the implementation of the indirect sourcing strategy as defined by the commodity managers to meet internal and external commitments.
What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of experience in in sourcing, purchasing, fulfillment, supply chain, or manufacturing operations).
- Minimum 2 years experiencing in sourcing, purchasing, fulfillment, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Excellent communication skills and analytical skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier / stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven project management skills and experience
- Self-motivated
What will your typical day look like?
- Support daily fulfillment and tactical activities to achieve the indirect sourcing’s business goals.
- Work on specific projects to improve cash flow with Indirect Sourcing suppliers.
- Facilitates categories managers Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for stakeholder requests.
- Supports category manager in the following areas : Projects to achieve process simplification and quality optimization.
Support supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier managementManaging the entire contract life cycle from RFPs to supplier exit
- Drive continuous use of preferred indirect suppliers as defined by category manager strategy.
- Place purchase orders within the system
- Assist category manager in identifying areas of opportunity for cost savings.
- Establish strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Run data analysis and recommend changes to the supplier panel that will improve cost and service levels.
- Negotiate local supply and / or service contracts as assigned by the category manager.
- Identify problem areas within day-to-day activities and develop solutions.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
