The individual will act as both subject matter expert and project owner for demand and part planning capabilities in Aras Innovator, integrated with SAP S / 4HANA and SRM.

This individual will play a key role in transforming how we plan, manage, and execute prototype material readiness by capturing real user needs, translating them into clear requirements, and supporting delivery of scalable, repeatable processes and tools.

This role will ensure these solutions are relevant and tied to the Laboratory's mission.

Key Responsibilities : Project manager for the effort to design and build new capabilities for Lab-wide demand planning and program part planning driven by complex BOMs Recommend process and solutions for forecasting long-lead and strategic parts across programs so that they can be produced, purchased, or allocated efficiently and cost-effectively.

Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand pain points, use cases, and operational constraints Facilitate working sessions to capture and synthesize user needs into clear and actionable requirements Develop user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria that guide process and development.

Serve as functional owner for Aras Innovator Part Planning, collaborating with Innovator development team, PLM / ERP owners to implement and test capabilities.

Partner with prototyping teams to ensure solutions align with real-world needs and support rapid design iteration cycles Drive adoption of new part planning capabilities by supporting development of training, quick-reference guides, and process playbooks for engineers and Program Staff Track progress, risks, and dependencies for capability development and communicate updates across stakeholders Identify opportunities for strategic buying, long-lead planning, process automation, data integration Ensure Part Planning capabilities in Innovator are integrated with Enterprise Demand Planning and other Supply Chain Capabilities Participate in integration efforts for supply chain capabilities (e.g., inventory, procurement, supplier management) to enable an end-to-end planning ecosystem Required Skills : 10+ years' experience in demand planning, part planning, or BOM management in a prototype, New Product Introduction, or R&D setting Experience in design and implementing supply chain capabilities Familiar with manufacturing and fabrication.

Strong background in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and documentation of functional / user needs Ability to translate business and engineering requirements into user stories and system-level specifications Familiarity with PLM / ERP systems (e.g., Aras Innovator, SAP, Oracle, Windchill, etc.) Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels Organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment Experience with change management and enabling adoption of new processes and tools.

Preferred Skills : Experience with Digital Engineering tools and data structures.

Exposure to agile or iterative development practices (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).

Ability to create mockups, process maps, or light wireframes to support requirements definition.

Experience supporting tool development in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing or prototyping context.
