Position Overview :

The Commercial Truck Full Service Lease and Rental Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the full service lease and rental division.

This role requires strong leadership skills to manage staff, optimize fleet management, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.

This position covers the State of Connecticut and Upstate New York, representing multiple commercial truck manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operations Management :
  • Oversee daily leasing and rental operations across the territories of Connecticut and Upstate New York, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize productivity and profitability.
  • Monitor fleet utilization and optimize inventory levels based on market demand.
  • Team Leadership :
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to create a high-performance culture.
  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster teamwork and communication within the team and across departments.
  • Customer Relationship Management :
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout Connecticut and Upstate New York.
  • Address customer inquiries and issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling additional services to existing customers.
  • Financial Oversight :
  • Prepare and manage budgets for the leasing and rental operations.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement cost control measures to enhance profitability.
  • Compliance and Safety :
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by conducting training and regular audits.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance schedules and oversee inspections.
  • Strategic Planning :
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term business strategies.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Participate in pricing strategy development and implementation.
  • Manufacturer Representation :
  • Represent multiple commercial truck manufacturers, understanding their unique offerings and aligning them with market demands.
  • Stay updated on manufacturer promotions, innovations, and products to effectively market them to potential customers.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in operations management within the commercial truck leasing or rental industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate insightful reports.

Working Conditions :

  • This position may require travel to various locations across Connecticut and Upstate New York for client meetings and site inspections.
  • The role may involve working outside of regular business hours during peak times or emergencies.
