DEPARTMENT : Finance
JOB SUMMARY : Provide leadership and direction for the support and coordination of the Finance Accounts Payable Division to ensure staff have the guidance, knowledge and means to perform their duties in a timely manner.
This position involves a high level of accuracy. Responsible for the complete Accounts Payable (AP) process, including the Finance Division AP internal processes and procedures, vendor management, cash disbursements and employee reimbursements, and the management and development of the AP team.
Overall AP Division accountability for providing financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate invoicing and payments including annual IRS reporting Form 1099 and 1042 accurately and timely submitted.
Must stay abreast on the IRS rules and regulations on 1099 misc., 1042 foreign payment and other regulations and Tribal policies related to AP.
COMPENSATION : $36.86 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field.
- Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) years working experience working with Accounts Payable processing.
- Five (5) years direct accounting experience to include general ledger and financial reporting.
- Five (5) years GASB and / or Fund, General Accounting concepts experience.
- Five (5) years’ experience in a Supervisory role, working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
