Greet customers, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by customers, receive the correct amount tendered by customers and provide the correct change for each transaction
Responsibilities :
- Be able to enact gift cards requested by customers
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly / fast manner
- Ability to make corrections to customer orders in a fast and efficient manner
- Ability to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- Treat all customers in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform
- Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential
- Keeps work area neat and clean at all times
- Cleans and maintains equipment used
- Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned
- Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of California Fish Grill and the facility
Qualifications :
- STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF :
- Restaurant operations
- Quality Customer Service
- Safe work habits and procedures
- Company rules and procedures, in compliance with and including state and federal laws
- Ability to properly charge the correct price for food and drink item ordered in an effective, professional manner
- Ability to operate a POS
- Ability to operate credit card equipment
- Ability to interact with customers effectively
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Maintain composure when dealing with staff and occasionally under conditions of urgency and / or pressure situations
- Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures as directed by the Restaurant Manager
- Ability to be aware of and follow company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations
