Position Information
Under the general direction of the Project Principal Investigator and Project Director, this position is a key component of the Reading enhancements for enhancements for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) : A reading comprehension intervention research grant, providing direct tutoring services to students in grades 4-8 in the area of reading.
Please note : This is a limited variable time position at approximately 12.5%-75% (between 5-30 hours per week based on the candidate’s availability).
The work timeline is from September 2024 to mid-November 2024 and February 2025 to April 2025, with the possibility of continuation contingent upon funding.
The full salary range for the Tester / Student Assessor is $26.78 - $31.97 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $31.
97 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Education
Education Requirements
Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and one year of laboratory experience or two years of college education including courses in psychology or education or other field providing knowledge of children's development;
or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. (Required)
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and skills to code data (e.g., engagement, treatment fidelity). Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently under prescribed guidelines and in coordination with others.
Experience with assessments of reading and / or behavior interventions and / or experience working with students with autism and / or students with disabilities.
Experience working with various members including school staff and parents. Knowledge of research including group design.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint or similar applications.
