Job Title : Communications Specialist Job Category : Administrative Reports To : Director of Marketing and Process Improvement Position Type : Full Time Position Supervisory Responsibility : This position has no supervisory responsibilities Exempt / Non-Exempt : Non-Exempt Job Description Summary / Objective The Communications Specialist is a member of the WTMF’s Marketing Department and collaborates frequently with other departments, outpatient clinics, physicians and WTMF stakeholders, and often in partnership with Washington Hospital Healthcare System.
- Essential Functions : 5 years or more experience required in digital content creation, preferably for a healthcare organization;
- or 5 years or more experience in communications with a strong understanding of digital content creation is required. Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Business, Yelp, and other social media channels;
as well as web platform content creation and management and familiarity with basic web design and publishing Writing excellence is a must.
Experience in writing quick, succinct, and accurate content in order to engage a consumer audience; writing samples will be required.
Experience in utilizing digital platforms to educate, inform, and persuade consumers to take action. Solid photography, image creation and editing skills required.
