The Executive Director will provide day-to-day operational leadership, strategy, and implementation of the Center vision in collaboration with the Senior Minister and Board of Trustees (BOT).

The Executive Director must have strong communications, organization, and project management skills. Finally, the candidate must be an individual who understands the philosophy, vision, and values of CSLN.
Management Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day management of CSLN :
- Support the Senior Minister and the Board of Trustees to operate the Center.
- Attend all board meetings and board planning meetings and be responsible for follow-up items identified in the meetings.
- Responsible for written communication to the community, including newsletter entries from board items.
- Human resources Oversee activities of and collaborate with administrative, communication, marketing, production, and music staff and evaluate staff performance.
- Interface with Unity Nashville for scheduling and joint events.
- Work with marketing, education, youth, and productions teams and volunteers as needed for staffing, special events, and project coordination.
- Work with the Board to develop policies and procedures and work with staff to communicate them to the community.
- Work with databases and systems / apps as needed (CSLN's Communication Coordinator manages these, but there is a need for basic knowledge of functions of each).
- Organize and work with others to create the annual Center calendar.
Key responsibilities in support of the Senior Minister and Board of Trustees :
- Assist the Senior Minister and Board to develop an annual strategic plan, development of key objectives and tactics, and establishment of goals and key performance measurements (KPMs).
- Work with the Senior Minister and Board to assess the current needs of the congregation and opportunities for growing the church.
Requirements :
- Understanding of basic business operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Management skills / experience.
- Organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Zoom, Slack, Survey Monkey, and YouTube, among others.
If not proficient in these applications, must have a desire and aptitude to learn new systems, programs, and applications.
- Must have own laptop or Mac.
- Available on Sundays.
