Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer or Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team, focusing on mechanical system design for institutional projects such as education , healthcare , and government facilities .
You will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the development of construction drawings, system studies, and planning efforts for new builds, expansions, and renovations.
Collaboration with clients, contractors, and project teams is key to ensuring design solutions meet both functional and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design HVAC systems for institutional projects based on client RFPs and project scopes.
- Conduct engineering design, analysis, and planning for mechanical systems in education , healthcare , municipal , and government facilities .
- Perform load / energy calculations using software such as CHVAC and HAP .
- Conduct field surveys to document existing mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Create system design calculations and select appropriate equipment for project specifications.
- Prepare and review detailed design documents, reports, and studies for accuracy and code compliance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and design guidelines.
- Lead or contribute to QA / QC processes for design work.
Required Skills :
- Proficiency in the design of HVAC systems for institutional projects.
- Deep understanding of MEP codes, standards, and design guidelines specific to institutional facilities .
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AutoCAD , Revit , and MS Office .
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience leading teams or contributing to collaborative team environments.
- Excellent work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving design challenges.
