The Role

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Business Development Representative to identify and cultivate potential leads for our EVS (Healthcare) and Life Sciences sectors.
This role is crucial in researching, prospecting, and connecting with potential clients to generate qualified leads and build a robust pipeline of prospects.
The ideal candidate will ensure a consistent stream of opportunities for our sales team by working with potential clients from initial contact through handoff to our Sales personnel.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Attend Healthcare and Life Sciences events, target association mtgs, partnerships lunches, etc., primarily in San Diego for Life Sciences and all of Southern California for Healthcare.
- Develop business relationships through face-to-face interaction at events.
- Understand Organization structures to know where to be and whom to reach out to (high, wide, deep client relationships).
- Build relationships based on trust
- Collaborate with Servicon Sales team, consultants and additional departments as needed.
- Maintain relationship through the sales handoff
- Regularly update and maintain Salesforce (CRM)
What It Takes to be Successful
- Proven ability to creatively source and develop new business
- Demonstrated experience networking and connecting people
- Proven ability to connect to decision makers in addition to initial company contacts
- College degree preferred with minimum of 3 years' business development experience
- Demonstrated customer needs focus with ability to solve problems with our team.
- Prior / existing relationships in Healthcare or Life Sciences a plus.
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability; ability to attend events outside regular business hours (evenings and weekends)
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and utilize independent judgment
- Strong collaborative skills and open to coaching and new methods / processes
- Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with clients, both written and verbal; Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong active listener; ability to discern and understand client needs
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organized and efficient, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Intermediate technical skills in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and CRM systems (Sales Force a plus)
