What you'll do :
Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Senior Payment Operations Manager leading operations for credit and debit cards. This position is within one of the bank’s top strategic product investments.
The Senior Payment Operations Manager will be a key leader within a high value, fast paced environment, reporting into the Director of Servicing and Operations.
They will lead momentous change and transformation of commercial credit and debit card operations. The Senior Manager will initially have a seasoned team of seven non-exempt representatives, and a supervisor.
This position is located in Las Vegas.
What we are looking for :
As a Senior Payment Operations Manager, you will be responsible for SLA s, account set up, card changes, payments, debit chargebacks, card delivery, quality assurance, metrics, and team development.
Being a change agent is important to drive efficiencies and automation, while mitigating risk. The right candidate will play a significant role in projects with some ownership of product development.
This position requires balancing tactical work with strategy, creating a current and future roadmap. Since it is driving notable change, they will have visibility and regular interaction with Bank Executives.

What you need to have :
10+ years’ experience in banking or financial services operations demonstrating the ability to think strategically, deliver innovation, and creating centers of excellence.
7+ years of card operational experience managing SLA s, quality, and production.
7+ years of previous leadership experience coaching, mentoring, and team management in different geographical regions
5+ years of using a card issuing platform, such as TSYS, FIS, or Fiserv.
5+ years of previous experience with Debit, Consumer Credit, Commercial Card, B2B, B2C, or Virtual Cards.
Proven background implementing new practices and technology leading to higher efficiencies, scalability, and improved risk controls.
Strong knowledge of applicable card regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
Subject matter expert with card issuance, transactions, bins, disputes, and card associations.
Ability to work with vendors.
Can clearly communicate to individuals at all levels.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Enthusiastic to be part of fast-growing products.
Travel 10 25% of the time.
BA / BS required.
Compensation : Salary range for new hires is generally $132,710.00 - $156,127.50 for Las Vegas, NV. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus / incentives earned and restricted stock.
