Summary

Cosm is seeking a dynamic and innovative sales leader to join our team as Sr Director, Global Sales in Salt Lake City, Utah with progressive, strategic, critical thinking ability, who will apply their experience and education in a self-directed and fast-paced environment.

The Sr Director, Global Sales will oversee the day-to-day activities of the sales team and execute strategies that maximize sales efforts in the areas of science, education, sports, and entertainments, both domestically and internationally.

This individual will collaborate with sales and executive leadership to lead the sales team and manage to Cosm top level sales goals, combining creativity with business savvy to build Cosm brand equity, create awareness, and drive overall sales and revenue.

The ideal candidate is a resourceful and big-picture-thinking sales leader with a collaborative, ambitious spirit, and partnership-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, efficiently manage, develop, and mentor day-to-day functions of the sales team.
  • Effectively oversee sales efforts, including the development of an innovative outreach plan for varied markets to be deployed by sales professionals to maximize sales revenue.
  • Work with Sales Leadership and Sales Operations, using sales data as a guide, to drive performance and growth in new and existing markets.
  • Review and track potential projects effectively to evaluate risks and liabilities.
  • Participate in ongoing departmental financial analysis, planning, and budgeting.
  • Monitor competitive programs and analyze consumer and tourism (international and domestic) marketplace trends in identified markets on an on-going basis;

identify key insights and adjust and enhance sales plans accordingly.

  • Oversee marketing research projects, which may include pricing research, creative testing, pre- and post-launch, onsite consumer and group surveys, and additional market research as determined.
  • Update pricing models, refine price points and packages, and adjust sales order projections as needed.
  • Oversee daily sales order tracking and ensure accuracy of contracts and invoices.
  • Work with Sales & Cosm Leadership to define and execute department and company goals to a Cosmworthy standard.
  • Demonstrate excellent listening, synthesizing, and project execution skills while fostering a collaborative, secure, and authentic team atmosphere built for team and individual success.
  • Maintain open communication and build effective and collaborative relationships within Cosm key external stakeholders.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sales leadership, communications, business, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years in a relevant leadership role, preferably in a high-volume, technical sales environment with large capital hardware purchase component.

Exposure to multiple markets, including science & education and sports & entertainment is a plus.

  • Aptitude for integrated sales / marketing planning and execution to meet objectives.
  • Proficiency with data, research process, sales patterns, and demographic trends as well as Excel and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders; thoughtfully developing and delivering sound recommendations to senior management.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced start-up environment; balancing creativity and innovation with practical solutions.
  • Ability to consistently lead sales professions and work with the team to fill the pipeline and drive revenue opportunities.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment across multiple departments to ensure the successful delivery of our client solutions.
  • Self-motivated and driven by success, strong work ethic, and integrity.
  • Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) as required .
