Position Description :

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Region Manager, Southwest - Mass Timber will play a key role in driving sales growth and expanding our market presence in the Southwest region of the United States.

The Region Manager will possess sales expertise, industry knowledge, drive, and leadership skills to effectively achieve sales targets.

They will commit to sustainability, innovation, and customer satisfaction while driving sales. This position is remote with the expectation of in market and regional travel.

The ideal candidate will be located in Northern California, but not mandatory, otherwise within the Southwest Region.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with developer’s builders, contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to foster long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Lead and influence prospective prospects and the design community in sustainable building products and their use.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to effectively promote Mercer Mass Timber products and services and how to differentiate them in the market.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to track progress and evaluate performance against targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers to ensure mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote our brand.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, structural engineering, project management or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in revenue generation (preferred) with a minimum 5 years of experience in Engineered Wood, Mass Timber industry or similar construction materials.
  • Possesses a strong level of autonomy and the ability to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Deep understanding of Engineered Wood Products (EWP), manufacturing processes, and construction applications.
  • Strategic and a tactical thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving measurable outcomes.

Salary & Benefits :

  • Base salary in the range of $95,000-$135,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance
