Established consulting company with deep expertise in cutting-edge technologies for big data, advanced analytics, modern web application frameworks, and cloud computing, is looking for a Data Engineer to join their growing team of IT professionals.
Must-Haves :
- 5+ years’ experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or comparable academic discipline
- Must have or be willing to obtain Secret Clearance (this requires US Citizenship)
- Strategic data architecture and data modeling with structured and unstructured databases
- Experience with DDL, DML, DCL, and stored procedures with relational databases required, Postgres preferred
- Experience with Databricks and enterprise cloud databases
- Database design, principles, and best practices
- Data modeling, schema development, and data-centric documentation
- Configuring Delta Lakes and Delta Tables, managing data ingest, access, and performance tuning
- Experience configuring workflows and jobs within Databricks
- Experience with Apache Airflow is desired
- Ability to work closely with data architects to ingest, integrate, and prepare database structures needed for reporting, analytics, and visualizations
- Develop and maintain ETL pipeline
- Involved in the ETL process and must be motivated to be collaborative with team members to understand and implement data requirements
- Experience with Cloud (AWS)
- Experience integrating data from a variety of sources
- Recommend and advise on optimal data strategies for ingestion, integration, and visualization
- Proficiency in Python and Linux
- Knowledge of Air Force supply and logistics systems
