POSITION : Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
REPORTS TO : Principal
LOCATION : Various Schools
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Implements readiness classroom program of students ages 3 and 4 in a full day readiness pre-kindergarten program.
- Assists in the overall effective management and coordination of the daycare program.
- Assists in the activities of program planning, implementation, and ongoing need assessment.
- Assists in the development of the curriculum. Assists in facilitating communication between school and parents.
- Assists in toileting participants. Perform other related duties as by supervisor or designee.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, Child Studies, or Human Development and Family Studies.
- Experience working in a similar setting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse community.
- Develop and maintain favorable relationships with administration, staff and parents.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills desirable.
- Must be willing to participate in in-service training and staff meetings as required.
- College Transcripts must be uploaded along with application. Failure to do so will disqualify the candidate.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Salary in accordance with Hartford Federation of Child Development Associates 2024-2025 Salary Grid S273 : ($41,417 - $43,953). Ten-month position.
