General Accountant

The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking a General Accountant to support our Insurance Accounting team processing invoices, preparing journal entries and month end close.

What You’ll Do :

• You will process invoices accurately and timely by creating requisitions and submitting to Accounts Payable.
• You will be required to maintain the Regulatory Calendar by completing tasks and filings by the prescribed deadlines and keeping status updated.
• You’ll assist with month-end close by (1) running system reports, (2) prepare journal entries (3) prepare account reconciliations, and (4) completing journal entries log.

Research and resolved reconciliation issues and perform follow-ups, as appropriate.

• You will prepare assigned quarterly and annual statutory financial statement sections accurately and timely.
• Complete ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned by management, including requests from outside departments.

What You’ll Need :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 1 2 years general accounting including accounts payable experience required.
• To thrive in this role, you will have experience in a medium or large, fast-paced company, working in heavy deadline driven environment.
• You will need strong verbal and communication skills.
• You will have to be well organized and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and manage several deadlines.
• Prior knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products and ERP systems is a plus.

The starting pay range for this position is :

$25.56 - $34.08
