Job Summary
AEC peer leaders support student success initiative by facilitating Peer Supplemental Instruction (PSI) sessions and / or tutoring sessions.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate PSI sessions and / or tutoring sessions
- Report attendance data and / tutoring summaries
- Create PSI lesson plans if applicable
- Participate in AEC events around campus
- Attend all mandatory PSI meetings and training sessions
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College.
- Must maintain a at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Must have earned an A in any class that they support.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication and computing skills.
- Must maintain good academic standing and good standing with the Office of Student Integrity.
- Must maintain a regular weekly schedule.
- Must possess an attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
- Must have ability to handle confidential information and follow FERPA guidelines.
- Ability to exhibit a level of competency or proficiency in the subject matter of hire.
- Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to use the Internet and electronic mail system.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
