Position Overview : As a Senior Aerospace CFD Engineer - Flight Design Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of eVTOL aircraft through advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.
You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers to analyze, design, and refine aerodynamic performance, contributing directly to the success of our innovative aerospace projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct advanced CFD simulations to analyze and optimize the external aerodynamics of eVTOL aircraft.
- Develop and implement computational models to predict flight performance, stability, and control characteristics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CFD insights into the overall aircraft design process.
- Utilize software tools such as Star CCM+, Pointwise, Paraview, and Tecplot to perform complex simulations and visualize results.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve design methodologies and processes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's or . preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace engineering with a focus on CFD analysis and flight design.
- Proven expertise in conducting hands-on CFD simulations for external aerodynamics applications.
- Extensive experience with software tools such as Star CCM+, Pointwise, Paraview, and Tecplot.
- Strong understanding of eVTOL concepts and principles is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
