Salary Compensation Range : $50,000-55,000

MAJOR FUNCTION :

The Junior Accountant assists the Finance team with monthly deposits, month-end closing, and other general accounting functions.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assist in the month-end closing process by reconciling accounts, analyzing accounts, and posting journal entries.
• Prepare budget reports, as well as assist in creating spending projections based on historical data throughout the year.
• Prepare weekly cash balance reports for various bank accounts.
• Accurately post incoming funds from bank deposits and electronic transfers into the organization's accounting software.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Accounting / Finance Department, which may include participating in audits, conducting financial analysis, or contributing to special projects as required
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS : EDUCATION / TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or in the process of pursuing for accounting degree.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred, including accounting internships.
• Must have good communication skills and writing skills.
• Must be Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
